Antonio M. Romanucci Appointed as Chair of the Police Misconduct Litigation Group and Chair of the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group for the American Association for Justice

Posted on: August 8th, 2016 by Romanucci & Blandin

CHICAGO, IL (August 8, 2016) – The  American Association for Justice (AAJ) has appointed personal injury attorney,  Antonio M. Romanucci, as Chair of the Police Misconduct Litigation group and Chair of the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation group, effective July 22, 2016. Founding partner and principal at  Romanucci

& Blandin, LLC, Mr. Romanucci has been an active member of AAJ for nearly 20 and has served leadership positions since July 2007. This is his second consecutive year serving as Chair of the Police Misconduct Litigation group.

“It is an honor to serve as Chair of both the Police Misconduct Litigation group and Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation group for AAJ,” said Mr. Romanucci. “The rising number of police misconduct incidents that our country is seeing on a regular basis, especially in my hometown of Chicago, is extremely concerning. Just as alarming is the increasing incidence of brain injuries amongst children playing sports and the long term effects these events have on their lives. These are both timely and serious issues that need to be tackled headon and I am looking forward to doing so with other likeminded attorneys from AAJ.”

Mr. Romanucci spoke last month at the AAJ annual conference in Los Angeles, California on closing arguments in the traumatic brain injury case. His presentation focused on conveying the correct message to juries that despite most brain injuries being undetectable on imaging examinations, that they cause permanent and long lasting consequences both to the victim and family of the victim.

During his tenure as Chair of both groups, Mr. Romanucci will focus on building off of the progress made last year in the Police Misconduct Litigation group, while bringing continued attention to the timely, national policing issues plaguing our country. Furthermore, he will focus on initiating and continuing the great work of those preceding him in the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation group.

Antonio Romanucci is recognized locally and nationally for his leadership, expertise, and technique in the field of personal injury. For his successes, Antonio has been named a ‘Top 100 Super Lawyer’ in Illinois for 10 consecutive years, an ‘Illinois Leading Lawyer’ since 2003, and was named a ‘Best Lawyer’ for 2013 through

2016 by U.S. News & World Report. He maintains a perfect MartindaleHubble AV rating and an AVVO rating of 10/10.
