Bryce T. Hensley

Attorney at Law

Attorney at Law

Bryce T. Hensley is an attorney at Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, where he works in the firm’s complex litigation group representing individual and classes of victims of toxic exposures, product defects, airline crashes, civil rights violations, sexual harassment, wrongful death, and other catastrophic personal injuries.

Bryce was inspired to serve as a personal injury attorney, recognizing that earning a law degree is a tremendous privilege and provides the opportunity to help those who are most vulnerable and in need.

Before being sworn in as an attorney, while working as the law clerk for Antonio Romanucci, Bryce’s knowledge of litigation technology and trial strategy was instrumental in winning a $44.7 million verdict against the City of Chicago for Michael D. LaPorta. This is the largest verdict ever returned in a police misconduct lawsuit against the city of Chicago and in the state of Illinois.

In his first two years of practice, Bryce has been responsible for defending and working to secure that verdict for Mr. LaPorta and his family in post-trial and appellate proceedings. Bryce has also briefed, argued, and won numerous motions and appeals in state and federal courts. Most notably, in December 2018, he argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and reversed the District Court’s grant of summary judgment against his client (Lewis v. City of Shreveport, 2019 WL 1761755). Bryce has also settled numerous cases during this time, including a $610,000.00 settlement on behalf of a client with a herniated disc due to an automobile collision.

Bryce is currently representing victims of: the October 1 Shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada; Sterigenics’ ethylene oxide emissions in Willowbrook, Illinois; Roundup herbicide exposure around the country; the Boeing 737 MAX 8 crash in Ethiopia; the public housing heating crisis in New York City; and police misconduct in the City of Chicago.

Bryce graduated in the top eight percent of his class at Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2017, earning him the honor of graduating magna cum laude and as a member of the Order of the Coif. While at Chicago-Kent, he was the captain of the school’s nationally-ranked trial advocacy team, where he earned the Best Advocate Award at the national Tournament of Champions. Bryce was also one of just 16 individual students selected from around the country to attend the prestigious Top Gun Trial Competition at Baylor University.

In the classroom, Bryce earned the CALI award for achieving the highest grade in six of his classes. Bryce served as a teaching assistant for multiple semesters and upon graduation was inducted into the school’s Bar and Gavel Society for his extensive service and dedication to the law school community.

Bryce earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013
