During his time at Romanucci & Blandin, Ian has also had the privilege of serving on litigation teams where a $50 million settlement was secured for the wife of a worker who died following a workplace injury in the Chicago area in 2016, and a $1 million pre-discovery settlement in a motor vehicle collision case where the Plaintiff underwent a surgery.

Prior to attending law school, Ian worked as a community organizer in Omaha, Nebraska with a nonprofit, the Heartland Workers Center. He was involved in carrying out bilingual voter registration drives and leading grassroots legislative advocacy efforts surrounding the expansion of statutory rights for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) recipients under Nebraska law.

Ian graduated with a certificate in Trial Advocacy and recognition for Leadership, Service and Public Interest from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he made the Dean’s List throughout his tenure. He was involved in their Public Interest Law Society and Trial Advocacy department. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Justice and Society at Creighton University, with minors both in Theology and Spanish, while also earning the William Jennings Bryan Speech and Debate Scholarship.

Ian has volunteered with the National Immigrant Justice Center’s U-Visa clinic and completed an externship with the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois.
