Sarah E. King

Attorney at Law

: 312-253-8593

Sarah E. King is an Associate Attorney at Romanucci & Blandin, LLC where she focuses her practice in the areas of sexual violence, premises liability, MDL, medical malpractice and nursing home neglect and abuse.

Prior to her role as an attorney, Sarah served as a law clerk for both Founding Partners Antonio Romanucci and Stephan Blandin for three years, contributing her time and talents to a variety of cases which garnered significant results for our clients.

For Sarah, pursuing a career in law was a clear way to effectively advocate for individuals who had suffered various forms of trauma in their lives. Growing up in a military town, she witnessed first-hand the effects of PTSD and what this type of trauma did to individuals and their families. It was during and after college that her understanding of the word trauma expanded to include sexual violence and intimate partner violence. Ultimately, working as a law clerk at Romanucci & Blandin sealed Sarah’s fate as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney as she could advocate on behalf of trauma survivors from every area of personal injury, including car accidents, traumatic brain injuries, medical malpractice and more.

Sarah graduated from DePaul University College of Law where she was on the Dean’s list throughout her tenure. She served as an Associate Editor of the DePaul Law Review, was Chief Director of Committees for Phi Alpha Delta and volunteered with the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic and Constitutional Rights Foundation.

She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Psychology and Certificate in Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies. While there, she interned with the University’s Office of Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Education as an educator and program developer. Sarah’s passion for advocating for those affected by interpersonal and sexual violence stems from her time working with the University of Pittsburgh developing and conducting consent and bystander intervention trainings for fraternities, sororities and male athletic programs.

Prior to law school, Sarah worked for The Institute for Research, Education, and Training in Addiction (IRETA) and then The National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago (NORC) where she did substance misuse research and project management.

She is currently a Special Project Coordinator with the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, and is on the Associate Board of Resilience, a Chicago-based group that empowers survivors of sexual violence. She is also the founder of the Chicago Law Lean In Circle, is an Auxiliary Member of the American Legion, and volunteers her time to Women Everywhere, Chicago.
