New Laws Help Protect Illinois Temp Workers

Temporary workers in Illinois will now have more rights after new legislation was signed by Governor Rauner at the end of September. Big Win for Those Fighting for Temp Worker’s Rights

Temporary workers in Illinois have something to celebrate.  On April 27th, the House of Representatives passed the Responsible Job Creations Act with a veto-proof majority.  The act will now go to the state Senate to be voted on as a law. Illinois has been without a budget since July of 2015, and as of right now, there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight.  Both sides are having a tough time meeting in the middle, and that puts things like workers’ compensation in a precarious position.  Gov.
