$16,830,000 Settlement – Mass Shooting
Romanucci & Blandin helped to secure an $800 million victims’ settlement fund from hotel owner MGM in September 2020, resolving thousands of claims arising from the Route 91 concert massacre in Las Vegas on Oct. 1, 2017, which remains the most deadly mass shooting in U.S. history. In total, there were more than 60 people who died and more than 200 with gunshot wounds, hundreds with trampling injuries, and thousands more with emotional injuries. R&B represented 76 victims from 11 states and Canada, including those who were shot and killed; shot, trampled, and permanently injured; and suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and related injuries. Of the 76 victims, 13 were from Illinois. Our firm collaborated closely with other law firms around the country on the litigation’s Steering Committee to secure justice for those who were injured both physically and emotionally or were family members of those who died.
