Personal Injury Senior Paralegal

Salary ranges from $65,000 to $80,000, subject to experience and education
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing the calendar and docketing for a team of 2-3 attorneys, setting up appointments, calls, depositions and other matters.
- Preparation of court files, drafting documentation, correspondence, and communication with parties
- Creating and serving subpoenas, trial subpoenas and deposition notices
- Reviews, organizes, and summarizes case documents to help prepare cases for trial
- Draft routine notices, motions, affidavits, memoranda, and correspondence
- Manage and conduct court filings in Cook County, Federal Court and outside of Illinois as needed
- Assist with drafting, preparation and service of discovery
- Assist with trial matters and utilize and maintain experience with current trial technology
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, staff, and other outside personnel to obtain or provide information
- Assist in training paralegals, conducting professional development sessions and sharing current paralegal updates as made in the field
- Obtaining and maintaining notary qualifications
- Attend and complete professional development and training courses as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate
- 5+ years of experience
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines while managing multiple projects with competing priorities
- Positive attitude and exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required for daily interaction with clients, opposing counsel and mediators
- Experience working in civil and federal courts and utilizing online filings
- On-site/in-person, full-time in Chicago, IL
