Floyd Family Attorney Antonio Romanucci Reacts to Sentencing of Derek Chauvin.

Following the sentencing of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd, Floyd family attorney Antonio Romanucci joined the Black News Channel to share the legal team and family’s thoughts. Romanucci noted that while they had hoped for a greater sentencing than 22.5 years, the bar had been raised in terms of what a police officer can face in jail time when they commit crimes – which is a significant step forward and something that was unimaginable a very short time ago. Romanucci also noted that the family has been subjected to serving a life sentence by having George taken from them – something they will have to deal with every day for the rest of their lives.
