Kim Potter charged with second-degree manslaughter for death of Daunte Wright.
(MINNESOTA) — Kim Potter, the ex-police officer accused of shooting and killing 20-year-old Daunte Wright during a traffic stop, has been charged with second-degree manslaughter, according to authorities.
Potter was arrested Wednesday morning and was booked into Minnesota’s Hennepin County Jail.
The 48-year-old officer had been a veteran of the Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Police Department for 26 years and submitted her resignation on Tuesday.
