Lawsuit claims Sterigenics company has been paying out investors at the expense of plaintiffs suing over ethylene oxide emissions in Willowbrook

Representatives of Romanucci and Blandin said the firm filed an amended complaint Jan. 31 claiming documents show between October 2016 and December 2019 Sterigenics and its parent company Sotera Health paid out $1.27 billion from its corporate holdings to its shareholders, as ethylene oxide emissions from Sterigenics’ sterilization processes in Willowbrook came under public scrutiny.
