Lawsuit alleges former Plainfield Central High School football players were sexually assaulted during locker room hazing incident.
The parents of two former members of the Plainfield Central High School freshman football team have filed a lawsuit alleging their teens were sexually assaulted in the locker room during a so-called “Code Blue” hazing ritual.
The lawsuit, filed Monday on behalf of two minors in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleges the teenage boys were sodomized with a broomstick by older members of the football team in October 2019. The suit seeks damages from Plainfield School District 202 and three Plainfield Central football team coaches, saying authorities were aware of the hazing tradition but failed to protect the children.
