Gina DeBoni, Glenview village trustee, read a village proclamation from the podium.
“I’m excited to read the proclamation,” said DeBoni, of the document signed by Glenview Village President Michael Jenny, “in honor of Pride Month. “I think Glenview is a place that’s welcoming, supportive . . . hate has no place here.
“I’m proud of what we’re doing as a community.”
By the time the event began on June 1, the Progress Pride flag had already been raised on its pole.
