August 28, 2024

CHICAGO (August 28, 2024) – Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a national personal injury firm primarily based in Chicago, announces that Senior Attorney Joshua M. Levin has joined the firm. He is a member of the Civil Rights team working closely with Founding Partner Antonio Romanucci advocating for clients in cases involving civil rights violations, police misconduct and prisoner rights, as well as mass shootings.

Joshua brings extensive experience to the firm.  Most recently, he worked at the ACLU of Illinois in its Criminal Legal System and Policing Project, representing clients in civil rights litigation challenging unconstitutional Chicago Police Department practices. He also worked at a large international law firm, where he represented clients at the trial and appellate level and in government enforcement actions in a broad range of matters, including data privacy class actions, prisoner rights litigation, securities litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and First Amendment litigation.

Joshua earned his law degree from Yale Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Journal of Law & the Humanities. He earned his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Northwestern University, where he was awarded Phi Beta Kappa. After law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Beverly B. Martin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and to the Honorable Keith P. Ellison of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Joshua has been recognized on the Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” list, and he was honored with the 2024 Legal Advocacy and Dedication Award by the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, as well as the Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.  He  values community service and gives back by serving on the Young Professionals Board of the John Howard Association, which is dedicated to monitoring Illinois prisons and advocating for a more humane criminal legal system. He has also served as a volunteer teacher for the Lawyers in the Classroom program of the Chicago Bar Association.

“Joshua Levin joins Romanucci & Blandin with both highly valuable experience and a deep commitment to civil rights and justice.  We are confident he will contribute meaningfully to our firm’s efforts and to the lives of our clients,” said Managing and Senior Partner Gina A. DeBoni.
