Attorney Sam A. Harton joins Romanucci & Blandin, LLC

CHICAGO (November 17, 2022) – Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a national trial law firm principally based in Chicago, proudly celebrates Attorney Sam A. Harton being sworn into the Illinois Bar Association. Sam will be a member of the firm’s Civil Rights team, working directly with Founding Partner Antonio M. Romanucci and Partner Bhavani K. Raveendran, dedicated to cases involving police misconduct, civil rights violations in prison, wrongful death, wrongful convictions, and serious personal injuries.

Sam worked as a Law Clerk with the Illinois Prison Project and for Civil Rights Attorney Jared Kosoglad before acting as a Legal Extern for Justice Michael P. Donnelly of the Supreme Court of Ohio. In her roles prior to joining Romanucci & Blandin, Sam wrote clemency petitions, motions for post-conviction relief, and letters to corrections agencies seeking the release of incarcerated clients; striving to seek justice for her clients as well as broader, systematic prison system reform.

While at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Sam was the President of the Public Interest Law Foundation and Co-Founder of the Moritz Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild. In 2022, she graduated with the Dean’s Highest Honors in Public Service and was an Eminent Scholar recipient. Prior to her time at the Moritz College of Law, Sam graduated cum laude from Emerson College with a B.A. in Writing, Literature and Publishing.
