Romanucci & Blandin secures $1.5 million settlement for death of man struck and killed by garbage truck

CHICAGO (February 8, 2023) – Romanucci & Blandin, LLC announces the $1,500,000 settlement on behalf of the family of a man struck and killed by a garbage truck in September 2021. The settlement was secured by Partner Michael E. Holden. The 87-year-old man, survived by his two children, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, was crossing the street during his morning walk in Spring Grove, Illinois when a garbage truck struck him and knocked him to the pavement, causing severe injuries. An ambulance arrived shortly after; however, the man was pronounced dead less than an hour later due to blunt force trauma of the chest and head.

The case was resolved in January by Partner Michael E. Holden.
