Romanucci & Blandin secures $750,000 settlement for spinal injuries resulting from traffic collision with a Cook County snowplow
CHICAGO (March 2, 2023) – Romanucci & Blandin, LLC a national personal injury firm primarily based in Chicago, secured a $750,000 settlement for a client who suffered significant spinal injuries when his car was struck by a Cook County, Illinois snowplow.
The motor vehicle accident took place on February 1, 2019, in the Chicago area. The plaintiff, then 29-years-old, was driving to his job as a dental hygienist, when his vehicle was stopped at a red light in suburban Burbank. A Cook County snowplow rear-ended the plaintiff’s vehicle, causing serious injuries to his back which required two years of medical treatment for a cervical disc herniation. The injuries have cost just over $100,000 in medical bills thus far, and the plaintiff has received a doctor’s recommendation for cervical disc replacement surgery.
The case was mediated before the Honorable Judge Marguerite Quinn, resulting in a $750,000 settlement with Cook County.
