KLRT - FOX16: Lawmaker calls for Arkansas Board of Corrections member’s resignation over Lord’s Ranch child sexual abuse lawsuit
Our co-counsel in multiple child sex abuse lawsuits against formerly Warm Springs, AR-based The Lord's Ranch, Joshua Gillispie of the Gillispie Law Firm, spoke with KLRT - FOX16 about the cases and current Arkansas Board of Corrections member Alonza Jiles. Our complaints contend that Jiles helped to cover up the abuse during his time at The Lord's Ranch through his position as its Director.
From KLRT - FOX16: "In three lawsuits filed by Joshua Gillispie on behalf of 30 victims, seven victims claim they were sexually abused by a staff member. The victims also claimed Jiles knew of the abuse yet didn’t intervene. In those cases, victims also claim the abuse went on after telling Jiles about it. Gillispie said the alleged victims come from different states and were at the treatment center during different time periods, indicating the stories are all unique and were not based on each other. “They went to Jiles, told Jiles, sent a letter to Jiles hoping for help, hoping that maybe this guy would put a stop to it, and he never did,” Gillispie said. “Sometimes he would be involved in punishing them for reporting it.”
