December 2, 2024

CHICAGO (December 2, 2024) – Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a national personal injury firm primarily based in Chicago, announces that Michael D. Cerasa joins the firm as its newest Partner. Michael will represent clients who have been injured in premises liability accidents, trucking accidents, construction and workplace accidents and those that result from defective products.

Michael brings 20 years of experience to the firm. Michael was most recently a Partner at a Chicago-area law firm, where he managed a staff of 12, overseeing hundreds of cases from intake to trial. Michael also ran his own law firm for nearly a decade, leading pre-litigation and litigation teams while conducting thorough investigations into accident scenes, collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, and collaborating with accident reconstruction experts to build strong cases. Michael’s most notable case was representing almost 200 business owners in a successful lawsuit against BP Oil for damages from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

He earned his law degree from Florida State University College of Law and his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Government from Clemson University. Throughout his career, he has been named to the Super Lawyers list of attorneys multiple times as a Rising Star and Super Lawyer. He has also been named to the National Trial Lawyers 100 list.

He is admitted to practice in Florida, Illinois, Iowa and United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Eastern District of Louisiana, the Eastern District of New York, the District of West Virginia, and the Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

“Michael’s experience as a litigator and Partner brings a unique dimension to the firm,” Managing and Senior Partner Gina A. DeBoni. “His successes against corporations such as BP Oil show his dedication to clients against even the largest companies in the world. We look forward to adding Michael’s tireless efforts to obtain justice for our clients.”
