MASS SHOOTING ATTORNEYS | ROMANUCCI & BLANDIN

Romanucci & Blandin is proud to fight for justice for those who have been traumatized, injured or families of those killed in mass shooting events, particularly those involving assault-style weapons.

Our mass shooting legal team is honored to fight for justice for survivors and families who lost loved ones in the Highland Park, IL Fourth of July tragedy.

Our experienced mass shooting and assault weapon injury legal team is examining the facts closely in the Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois mass shooting and has filed litigation against assault weapons manufacturers holding them accountable for the injury and deaths caused by their products as well as their deceptive marketing practices.

What happened in Highland Park, Illinois on July 4, 2022, was deeply traumatic and should have never happened. The incredible people in the Highland Park community have shown — and continue to show — amazing strength in the face of injury and loss, and we have heard over and over that there is a commitment to make sure this never happens again to another town, business, school, shopping mall or place of worship. This event is very personal for our law firm with multiple employees of Romanucci & Blandin living and involved in that community.

In September of 2022, we filed litigation against assault weapons manufacturer Smith & Wesson, holding them accountable for the injury and deaths caused by their products as well as their deceptive marketing practices. Other defendants were also named in the litigation for their roles in this tragedy, as well. We filed multiple lawsuits on behalf of more than 40 individuals impacted by the mass shooting.

That type of systemic change takes a fierce and steadfast pledge to pursue the assault weapons manufacturers, holding them accountable for what happened and demanding change to the relative ease of acquiring these guns. This critical change in our culture and communities will require legislative reform and litigation – and Romanucci & Blandin has deep experience in both facets of change.

We believe one important component is legal action against the assault weapons manufacturers, and we plan on aggressively and compassionately pursuing a lawsuit on behalf of victims who were physically and, in some cases, tragically injured and emotionally traumatized by this unspeakable event. In addition to providing a measure of financial compensation for victims of this tragedy, this legal action will be the vehicle to expose and ideally halt the company’s deceptive marketing practices that glamorize these guns to young people.

The assault weapon injury lawyers at Romanucci & Blandin know how to navigate these complex cases and bring justice to victims, and sometimes settle these cases without going to trial. We have deep experience representing victims of mass shootings around the country and know how traumatic these events are for those involved and the people who love them.
